Alison B. Copley has been practicing family law for over 35 years, over 30 years of which have been in Highlands County. She has handled thousands of family law cases and is extremely knowledgeable in the areas of child custody/timesharing, spousal and child support, and property distribution. Alison graduated from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania and graduated from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law in Florida.
Brett P. Hargaden joined his mother's family law practice in 2022 after serving as an attorney with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Prior thereto, Brett served as an Honors Attorney with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, D.C., a position only offered to two candidates in the nation. Brett graduated third in his law school class and summa cum laude at Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island, where he was also Editor-in-Chief of the school's Law Review. Brett was the designated brief-writer for the school's admiralty law moot court team, and his law review article was selected for publication in his third year. Brett attended Stetson University for undergraduate, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration focused in finance.
